About
Who we are...
Neighbourly Community Care is a passionate NDIS disability service provider, committed to supporting people with disability to live with independence, confidence, and dignity. We work hand-in-hand with participants, families, and support coordinators to deliver personalised services that reflect each person’s unique goals, values, and needs under the NDIS.
Everything we do is guided by our core values: Integrity, Empathy, and Respect. We do what’s right, we care deeply, and we treat everyone as equals. At Neighbourly, we’re here to lend a hand, listen with heart, and support with respect – making life easier and more connected, just like a good neighbour should.
Our experienced and compassionate team of support workers and allied health professionals provides a broad range of support – from personal care and in-home assistance to community access, daily living support, transport, and capacity building. We focus on genuine relationships and empowering participants to live life on their terms.
What’s in the name?
Neighbourly is more than just a name – it reflects who we are and how we choose to support others. The word itself speaks to connection, trust, and compassion within a community. It’s about looking out for one another, showing up when it matters, and creating an environment where everyone feels included and respected.
We believe that our message “the strength of a community is built on the kindness of its neighbours” perfectly captures our values of integrity, empathy, and respect. Just like a good neighbour, we offer support not out of obligation, but from a genuine desire to help. It’s these everyday moments of care and understanding that build strong, resilient communities.
Neighbourly was founded by a team with over 30 years of combined experience in community care! That deep understanding of the sector – and the people in it – has shaped our commitment to delivering support that is truly person-centred.
At Neighbourly, our work is about more than delivering services – it’s about building relationships. Whether we’re helping someone access daily supports, encouraging independence, or simply being there to listen, we focus on making people feel seen, valued, and supported.
Vision
To be the trusted neighbour you can count on - building strong relationships and a more caring community through honesty, understanding, and mutual respect.

NDIS Core supports
NDIS Core Supports are essential services that help participants live independently and engage in their communities. They include four main categories:
- Assistance with Daily Living: Support for tasks like personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Transport: Funding for travel to appointments, social activities, and community events, helping participants with mobility challenges.
- Consumables: Assistance with everyday items like continence aids, medical supplies, and other personal care products needed for daily living.
- Coordination of Supports: Help to connect participants with services, manage their NDIS plan, and access other supports like therapy or employment services.
Core supports are flexible, allowing participants to choose services that best meet their individual needs and goals.
Support Coordination
Support Coordination helps NDIS participants navigate and manage their supports to get the most out of their plan. It involves working with a Support Coordinator who assists in connecting participants with the right services, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Support coordinators help with:
- Understanding the NDIS plan and how to use it.
- Connecting with service providers for personal care, therapy, and other supports.
- Coordinating multiple services to ensure they work together smoothly.
- Resolving issues or challenges in accessing services.
Support coordination helps participants maintain control over their NDIS plan, enabling them to achieve their goals and live more independently.
